My husband and I really need this trip for so many reasons. I want to explain why. In Feburary we lost our home and had to move in with my in-laws, it has been great and we are really grateful to them for letting us live with them, but my husband and I are just needing to get away for a day. Please outlaw shoot me an email telling me we are on the bus. Please! We are huge Nascar fans and have never been to a race. I think that my husband should be on the NASCAR bus with you guys, because he is a huge NASCAR fan. We are expecting our first child on November 20, so I believe this would be a great trip for him and one of his buddies to go on before our little girl gets here. He has been busy getting her room together, with painting, setting up the crib and hanging things on the wall, so he needs a little break! Once she arrives we will be super busy and not have much time for anything elese. This would be a great get-away trip for him since this is one of his favorite sports, and before he has to go on diaper duty!! WE LOVE THE OUTLAW--YOU GUYS ARE AWSOME!!

I was bored with the latest and greatest on the regular country station and I was scanning when I heard something strange but great!!..I quickly pulled over so I could fine tune my old truck radio.. I found 94.9 The Outlaw and I preset all my buttons on my radio so that I would not loose this station and I listen to nothing else..I found you on the Web and When I leave here in August to my new duty station in Fort Polk louisiana I can still listen to you via the web. My advice for anyone who is a true red dirt fan to go check this shin-dig out next year. We met some really cool people up there. It was worth every penny. I've been looking forward to it for a while. I love live concerts and Red Dirt Music. I had to miss ShrineFest because I was pregnant with a high risk pregnancy and spent most of it on bed rest. I had my baby in November 3 months premature and he spent 2 months in the hospital in Fort Worth. My husband and I spent our birthdays, the holidays, and our anniversary in the hospital in Fort Worth with our baby. Now that our baby is home and healthy we would really like to go have a date night at one of these concerts and have some fun. I would really love to get tickets to one of the two concerts!!!! Posted by jason garcia - (email) Posted On: 3/21/2009 hey guys! man, i miss the outlaw like you wouldnt believe; the entire red dirt scene like raisin cain at chicken n pickin with paul shultz, gearin up for the weekend at outskrits on thurs. nights to startin off my week at tx roadhouse for 99cent drinks. i wish i was back there but my job took me to dallas right before christmas of this last year and where i live i have a hard time picking up any good red dirt texas country stations. i listen on the web as often as possible. i try and visit wichita, the red dirt capitol of the world, bout once a month and as soon as i get into the listening area my radio goes to 94.9. im planning my vacation around woodystock this year and would love some tickets. thanks

My ex left me with a house I cannot afford and now I am having to move back home with my parents (in another town) just so I can go back to nursing school. Also, 2 weeks ago was my birthday and I tried to celebrate by going out with my best friend. Unfortunately her ex husband decided to ruin things for us and we had to leave the bar at 10:30! We are going to see Eli Young in Ardmore on the 28th and we drove 2 hours to see Ragweed!!! We stayed through the rain and he never came on stage. We kept our tickets because he was suppose to be in the area in October but didn't show up. That is when I heard the voice on the radio telling me to enter a message and I could win tickets. But after reading through these entries, I just don't think I can come up with as much good stuff as the other folks that have written in. I am really enjoying getting to listen to the music on the Outlaw and loving the red dirt sound. All I have to offer up by way of begging for tickets, is that my husband is a paramedic and didn't get to go last year because he was working. So he has had this on his calender since this time last year and promised that he wouldn't miss it this year. I would love to have two tickets for him and myself to relax on the River bottom and listen to some great music.

Me my husband and my 8yr old daughter just moved here a month ago from Idaho to try out Texas for a while. You think the economy is bad here... try there. Our friends love you guys and its all they let us listen to and up north they just don't have this kind of music. It has really grown on us we LOVE Kevin Fowler and would really like to see him live. We know our friends are going but right now were living with them and their 2 kids and it is very cramped. We're trying to save the money to move sence all our income tax went to moving here. We havn't really been able to get out due to my husband trying to work as much as possible and me taking care of the kiddo but Woodystock sounds like so much fun and seems like it would let us figure out ourselfs exacally how much we could possible love this place (atleast thats what our friends say) they said we need a good low down red dirt time.. We wanna know just what Texas is all about... Hopeing for some woodystock tickets so maybe we can go and take the kiddo too... it would be greatly appreciated...

I pay for my own school along with all my bills and necessities. I didn't get to go to woodystock last year because I didn't have the money. Sure 25 dollars doesn't sound like a lot to some but when your diet consists of mooching off your parents everytime mom is making a homecooked meal and ramen noodles nights you work 25 bucks is more than just a ticket to woodystock.Still strugglin so woodystock tickets would be excellent! Layoffs from the oilfield have caused money to be really short right now and him and I haven't done much lately. We've been going through the hardest of times trying to make ends meet, though we don't have the same hard luck stories that most of the other people on here have posted we still are struggling and it's putting my boyfriend through a hard time, he always feels bad because he doesn't get to take me out the way he used to and we haven't really had the money to do anything special for our year anniversary. He's probably the most caring and loving guy and he would do anything for me or ayone else. I would like to show him in return that he's my life and hopefully win these tickets to show he's the best and money doesn't matter to me. Woodystock sounds fun and we've never had the money to go, we've been together over a year and we haven't been outin so long... I htink were over due a date. Woodystock is also the day of prom and he may not have the money to get to go nor will I to buy the dress. It's really upsetting... So maybe if we win these tickets we can still have a great night to remember.

She wouldn't give me the time of day because she said I was too young(she is seven years older than me...shhh don't tell her I told ya...lol). I would always see her around town or what not, but new there was no use i had already been shot down once. When I was 21 we ran into each other at Graham's one night and started talking, she didn't remember me, but i sure as hell remembered her and all has went well since. Well im 25 now and we are happily married with 3beautiful kids running around the house, that are 13, 2, & 1 years old, the 2 little ones are 10 months apart to the day so you can only imagine the time we don't have to spend with just each other. I would love to give her Woodystock tickets for Valentines day. We had a blast last year and are looking forward to having a blast this year. He has always called me lovey and through the years everyone else does too. For his birthday last year he had a rose tattoo put on his arm and the name LOVEY written below it. But as luck would have it my oldest son ended up playing in a baseball tournament that weekend, so I gave up the opportunity of a lifetime...for an even bigger opportunity of a lifetime...To be a mom and watch her oldest child do what he does best!!! It broke my heart to give my tickets to friends, but I will never let my son know that! My kids always come first!!! But now it is a new year...I have a new love...We do stupid stuff like each drive 2 hours to meet somewhere for 3 hours of time together!!! Nothing would make me happier than to surprise him with a pair of Woodystock tickets for Valentine's Day!!! This is our first Valentine's Day together, and it would make such an awesome story for our kids and grandkids! To tell them what our first Valentine's gift to each other was...Thanks guys! I am Jackie Warner; my husband is Dick Warner, who is the one who was familiar with you. He was in the US Air Force Flight-Engineers School during that time in 1976. In the evenings he came to know you on the radio at KLUR. He made several tape recordings of your shows because he enjoyed them so very much. My husband has been retired from the Air Force for several years now. We play those recordings’ very rarely now because they may break. On one of the tapes, you play The Orange Blossom Special, the rendition by James Darrell. That has to be the all time best OBS I have ever heard, and I love that song. You were really a great DJ, your voice, style, and humor were the best I ever heard as well. Dick decided to look up KLUR on the internet yesterday. We called and spoke with Bob Ray, we told him the whole story, and asked if he could find that particular song. We listened on the internet for about four hours but did not hear it. Today I called him back; he said they had nothing at all on that song, etc. He did tell us that you were still on the air at another station but would not give us any other information. I hope this is you. If not can you help us contact him? Dick and I are from, and still live in New Jersey. I tried to find you by name on the internet and this was it. Please let us know. To get in either bring an article of winter clothing (E.I. scarf, sweats, jacket, ear muffs) or $5. What clothes arent donated, the elks will use the money to go buy. And all this is going to the childrens home. Billy Bob will be DJ-ing.

We missed Woodystock last year b.c we were moving back to Wichita from Idaho and were to arrive the morning of with tickets in hand.. but we got caught in traffic in Colorado for an xtra night..so my tickets went to my brother and his girlfriend..I really want to see Brazos Stone play b.c I missed them at Shrinefest b.c I was in labor.. I just got back from San Angelo TX over the weekend because of a death in the family. On my way down there and back I listened to your station. It was nice to actually hear some great country music not this pop country outta nashville that they play over and over again. I've been following the red dirt scene now for about 2 years. I wish there was a station up here in Illinois that plays this stuff. There are alot of people here that follow the Red dirt scene such as Cross Canadian Ragweed, Wade Bowen, Randy Rogers, Stoney Larue, etc. and we're excited to find out next month Jason Boland will be here in concert! Keep doin' ur thing!!

He said he would like to go to Woody Stock. If there are any tickets available, it would be a great late birthday present for him. we just got us a place of our own and i dont know if i will be able to get tickets for him.
